When you complete the purchase of your ticket(s) HERE you will receive an email with your ticket. Be sure to enter an active email account. A barcode ticket will be emailed to you. You will need to show your barcode ticket to enter the festival. You will receive your wristband upon scanning your barcode ticket. A wristband is neccessary to enter the festival. 

Surf Rodeo is cashless — our Food, Beverage, and Merchandise vendors may be accepting cash, but entry tickets and beer/wine will be cashless only.  Quicker service, safer transactions, and reducing the risk of transmission are all factors that have contributed to this decision.  

You should receive a ticket confirmation via email immediately upon purchasing your ticket.  If you do not receive a confirmation, it may mean you have input your email incorrectly into Ticket Sauce's system.  Please update your Ticket Sauce account information. www.ticketsauce.com On your account, please make sure that your email and mailing address are input correctly.

Once you have purchased your ticket via email, you will be able to pick up your wristbands at ticket booth at the entrance of the the festival.  Your wristbands are your tickets into the festival.  

​If you are a 3-Day ticket holder, your 3-Day wristband grants you admission for all three days.  If you are a Single Day ticket holder, your wristband grants you admission on the day shown on the wristband.

Yes! Tickets will be available for purchase at the event, but we highly recommend purchasing before the day of as they may sell out! Ticket purchases are cashless transactions.

You must provide your bar coded ticket to receive a wristband. Wristbands must be worn at all times throughout the event. Once applied wristbands are NON-TRANSFERABLE! If wristbands are tampered with or transferred you will be removed from the event. 

All ticket sales are final.  There are no refunds for any reason at any time, including COVID-related reasons, unless you buy Ticket Sauce ticket cancelation insurance.

If the festival is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket will automatically roll over to the next scheduled festival.

Kids 10 and under are free!

The Surf Rodeo is July 15, 16, & 17, 2022 in Ventura, California at the south side of the Ventura Pier. A paid ticket is required to enter the event - children 10 and under are free.

The City provides public beach area parking at the following locations:

  • Parking Structure on the south side of Harbor Boulevard at California Street near the Ventura Pier*
  • Surfer's Point Park*
  • Ash Street parking area at the 101 freeway pedestrian overcrossing (downtown side)
  • In addition to parking provided by the City, there is public parking at Buenaventura State Beach, at the end of Shoreline Drive adjacent to the County Fairgrounds.
  • Downtown Parking Lots & Structure Parking downtown is convenient and a great way to visit Ventura! There nearly 2,000 free parking spaces in our historic downtown at 14 City lots, the free parking structure, and along several blocks in the downtown area.

  • For the most part yes!  We provide large plastic mats on the sand in most areas of the event. The entire event may not be wheelchair accessible as this is a sandy beach.

Surf Rodeo 2022 is located at the south side of the Ventura Pier. Friday July 15 2pm-8pm, Saturday July 16 10am-8pm, Sunday July 17 10am- 7pm.

Cornhole Tournament

  • July 16 & 17, 2022  Tournament Begins at 10:00am and will go until approximately 2:00pm on Saturday.  Championship Rounds begin Sunday, July 17th with bags in the air by 10:00am. Championship Rounds begin at 2:00pm followed by the Award Ceremony at approximately 4:30pm.

Surf Contest

  • This year we have split the Surf Contest into 2 events on 2 different days.

  • The Surf Contest will take place on June 25, 2022 at the top of the Ventura Fairgrounds aka "The Pipes".

  • The Obstacle Course will take place during the Surf Rodeo Music Festival on Sunday July 17, 2022 at the Ventura Pier.

Bikini Cowgirl and Bikini Cowboy Contest

  • The Bikini Cowgirl and Bikini Cowboy Contest will take place Saturday July 16, 2022.

Charity Truck Raffle

  • July 17, 2022  The Charity Truck Raffle will be called live during the Surf Rodeo. A separate event ticket to the Surf Rodeo Festival is required to watch the live drawing. 
  • All personal belongings will be searched prior to entrance  
    • WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR A DAY AT SURF RODEO ON THE BEACH?

      You can bring:

      • Beach Essentials - towels, sunscreen, blanket, etc.  Your spending a day at the beach!
      • Sealed water bottles (no glass)
      • Umbrellas- small
      • Beach chairs

       

      You cannot bring:

      • No alcohol of any type. We have Pacifico Beverages, seltzers and wine available for purchase.
      • No weapons, knives, firearms. Upon purchasing an entrance ticket you agree to have all belongings and yourself searched by VPD. 
      • No narcotics, marijuana or drugs of any type are allowed within the festival. 
      • No Grills or BBQs or flameables.
      • No glass, including glass bottles or glass water bottles.
      • No Pets.
      • No colors/Patches Of Affiliation
      • No EZ Ups or tents
      • No drones or any other unmanned aircraft.
      • No kites.
      • No bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, wagons, scooters (motorized or push), hover boards, or Segway’s will be allowed inside the Surf Rodeo Festival.
      • No fireworks or other explosives.
      • No megaphones, PA systems, or air horns. 
      • No amplified sound devices (wireless speakers, etc.)
      • No coolers.
      • No Audio/Video recording equipment.
      • No professional cameras or camera equipment - without a press pass.
      • No flyers / stickers or marketing without approval
      • No selfie sticks.
      • No Frisbees or flying discs of any size.
      • No sales of any kind without the purchase of a vendor space.

The official rideshare pickup and dropoff location is Ash and Front Street located across the bridge from the Ventura Pier. - a block or 2 away from the festival) or near the Ventura Pier. 

If you have an immediate need while on-site, seek out any security personnel, festival staffer, police, fire personnel or go to the First Aid tent located near the Exit.  For the safety of everyone entering the festival, all patrons may be subject to a full and complete search prior to entry.  By purchasing a ticket, you agree to submit to a full body pat-down and magnetometer screening before entry.  If you would like to be screened by security personnel of your same gender, please let security personnel know prior to the search process.  Screening of children will always take place with the consent of a parent or guardian.  Persons that refuse to comply with the search policy may be refused entry into the event.  Specific questions regarding safety, security, medical, and any others can be directed to surfrodeoventura@gmail.com 

At this time, in accordance with current CA State Guidelines .  Surf Rodeo will NOT be requiring vaccination or COVID testing verification or masking for the festival dated July 15,16,17, 2022.

​However, this event shall run in accordance with applicable public health conditions as of the date of the event, which may change at any time, as determined by federal, state or local government agencies or by artists or by the promoter. Such requirements may include, without limitation, capacity changes, attendance procedures, entry requirements or other measures.  If a guest does not comply with any laws, mandates, health orders or event terms, conditions or rules set forth by Surf Rodeo, then Surf Rodeo may refuse that guest admission to the event, or require said guest to leave the festival without a refund.

The State of California strongly recommends all festival attendees get fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test before entering the festival, and to wear masks if they feel they are at risk of becoming seriously ill from COVID-19.
